Lee County Genealogical Society

Anyone with an interest in tracing their “roots” will find a home with us. We help beginners get started and guide them in their work. We welcome experienced genealogists and encourage them to share their knowledge with others. We learn from and teach each other in small and large group meetings.

What We Do

Our Mission: The purpose of this Society will be to create and maintain an organization for the advancement of genealogical research and education; to aid and encourage individuals in researching family history; to foster fellowship and cooperation among such individuals, and for the further purpose of receiving and collecting genealogical and historical records, and for preserving such records in libraries and archives.

Education

Workshops, training, and local research facilities are provided, sustained and supported by the LCGS.
