Canadian Roots

For LCGS members researching ancestors in Canada. Kim Short is willing to assist individuals by appointment on the 3rd Thursday afternoon of each month from January through April after our Monthly Membership Meeting at a mutually convenient location such as the Public Library or a local restaurant.  For year-round assistance please feel free to contact Kim directly via her email address shown.

English Roots

For LCGS members – The group meets to share information, techniques, ideas, sources, and stories to help further English research. It is an informal sharing and all levels of searchers are welcome. This group usually meets virtually from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the 2nd Friday of each month.  Contact Bev directly for the link to join.

Writers Group

For LCGS members wishing to go beyond recording names, dates and places, to interweave interesting facts about their ancestors’ lives, placing individuals in a social and historical context. This group usually meets from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the 1st Tuesday afternoon of each month.
