As genealogists, many of us focus all our time and energy on research and collecting data about our ancestors and neglect to record our own lives. This forces our descendants to research us! But there’s a better way. Give the generations that come after you the gift of your life story with the details research can’t provide. Be inspired and guided in writing your life story in this hands-on workshop that shows you how fun it can be to walk down memory lane and write the story only you can. After all, the only way to do this wrong is to not do it at all! This free Summer Workshop is hands on training for up to two hours. You are welcome to bring and eat your lunch as you write your story.

About the speaker, Patricia Charpentier
Patricia Charpentier, author of the multi-award-winning book, Eating an Elephant: Write Your Life One Bite at a Time, teaches, writes, edits, ghostwrites, and publishes personal and family history and life-based stories. Patricia has coauthored, edited, and published more than 70 personal and family histories. Her belief about capturing life stories is, “The only way to do this wrong is to not do it at all!” Patricia founded the Life Writers membership in 2020.
