DNA Painter has tools for researching your DNA matches. We’ll cover their three most important tools.
- The Shared cM Project tool helps determine possible relationships to your DNA matches, along with those relationships’ probabilities.
- The What Are the Odds tool suggests where you fit into the tree of unknown matches. This can be extremely helpful where there’s a set of unknown matches that might help break down a brick wall.
- Chromosome Mapping paints shared DNA segments onto your chromosomes to help you figure out how you’re related to your DNA matches that might help break down a brick wall.
