Watch Party! Google Tools for Genealogy by Thomas MacEntee

Join us in celebrating our 50th Anniversary with a Watch Party presentation featuring genealogist Thomas MacEntee and his program, “Google Tools for Genealogy.” There will be a handout available.
Genealogist Thomas MacEntee explores the powerful — and often overlooked — tools available through Google that can dramatically enhance your family history research. This program goes far beyond basic Google searching to demonstrate how tools such as Google Search operators, Google Books, Google Maps, Google Images, Google Drive, and Google Alerts can help uncover records, analyze locations, organize research, and stay informed about new discoveries. Attendees will learn practical strategies for using Google more effectively, saving time, and breaking through genealogy brick walls using free and accessible resources.
To celebrate our 50th Anniversary, we will be showcasing one of Thomas MacEntee’s pre-recorded programs from our library throughout 2026. These Watch Parties offer a fun, laid-back viewing experience, with LCGS members joining in and leading a discussion at the conclusion of the program.
This event is open to LCGS members only. If you’re not a member, JOIN today!
