Your society members are invited to attend the Manatee Genealogical Society meeting and program on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm EST.
Do you have an interest in finding out about your ancestors? Have you seen the TV show “Who do you think you are?” and want to learn more. This presentation by Karen Dwyer, President, and Dean Kudich, a director, is for entry level researchers seeking to understand what to look for and how. It is about “Where to go and how to Find it!” It covers such topics as obituaries, cemeteries, interviewing relatives, using different internet resources, and keeping yourself organized.
Karen has been researching her family for over 25 years in the United States, Canada, England, Germany, and Ireland. She has self-published six books on her family and her husband’s family. She is currently the President of the Manatee Genealogy Society and previously served on the board as Treasurer. Dean has been researching his family for 20 years, including locations in the United States, Canada, Denmark, Lithuania and the Slovak Republic. In 2019 he published a book regarding the life of his grandfather from Denmark. Currently he is researching two more of his grandparents. Dean currently serves on the board for the Manatee Genealogical Society.
