Taylor Kent 2015 Award Winner
The Lee County Genealogical Society has established an annual High School Youth Award to encourage students in Grades 11 and 12 in any Lee County Florida high school program, to become family historians and begin researching their heritage.
At the May 21, 2015 LCGS monthly meeting, Youth Education Chair, Connie Mumm presented the fifth annual High School Youth Award to Taylor Kent a junior at Fort Myers High School. Taylor earned this award for her genealogy research submission, which demonstrated a fundamental understanding of genealogy research including documentation and biographical writing. At the meeting a cash award of $500.00 was presented to Taylor.
