Hayden Pigott 2015 Award Winner

The Lee County Genealogical Society has established an annual High School Youth Award to encourage students in Grades 11 and 12 in any Lee County Florida high school program, to become family historians and begin researching their heritage.
At the May 15, 2014 LCGS monthly meeting, Youth Education Chair, Connie Mumm presented the fourth annual High School Youth Award to Hayden Pigott, a senior at Fort Myers High School. Hayden earned this award for her genealogy research submission, which demonstrated a fundamental understanding of genealogy research including documentation and biographical writing. At the meeting a cash award of $500.00 was presented to Hayden. She will be attending the University of Texas.
