MGS ~ PowerPoint for Genealogy with Lori Coffey

Your society members are invited to attend the Manatee Genealogical Society meeting and program on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, 10:00 am to 12:30 pm EST. Our program speaker, Lori Coffey (TrainerLori), will present in person on “PowerPoint for Genealogy”.
If you have used PowerPoint for presentations, you know how easy it is to use! But did you know it’s also a valuable companion for genealogists? You will want to keep it open all the time after we show you the three biggest genealogy uses for this powerful app: clipping and storing research, manipulating photos, and turning family tree reports into beautiful books or videos! We’ll give you tips to take your PowerPoint skills to the next level whether you’re using your own computer or the library’s.
Lori (known as TrainerLori on YouTube) has spent nearly 50 years researching her family tree and teaching business and computer skills! Merging her two passions, she now presents on how to use computer tools to help with genealogy. She is a lifetime member of the Pinellas Genealogy Society serving as their vice president, a vice regent of the Caladesi chapter Daughter of the American Revolution, a member of the William Bradford Colony General Society of Mayflower Descendants and is both a Son of Norway and a daughter of the Union Veterans of the Civil War. She also belongs to other genealogy societies.
Members of the public are welcome to attend in-person at the Manatee Central Library, located at 1301 Barcarrota Blvd West, Bradenton, Florida 34205. Guests attending via Zoom must register at least one day in advance by emailing: info@mgsfl.org. The Manatee Central Library Auditorium will open at 9:45 a.m. for in-person attendees. The Zoom meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. EST.
For those attending in person, you may wish to bring cookies to share for the Christmas Party. We will provide the coffee. Immediately following the meeting, we will begin our “Members Helping Members” session.
