DNA - Genetic genealogy is a new tool for genealogists, where DNA helps the genealogist focus research and connect with cousins to build out family trees. DNA testing is becoming more affordable, with increasing interest in using the technology to work through brick walls and identify new family lines for research.

The LCGS DNA SIG is open to members who have an interest in using DNA testing for genealogy or family history research. Those totally new to genetic genealogy will find if DNA testing is right for them; experienced members might learn a new skill or help others in the group.

The monthly meetings will be held from January to May on the2nd Tuesday of the month  Serving as a friendly forum for education on the use of DNA and genetic genealogy. Please check the Events Calendar for location of the next meeting.
