Grace Speas 2016 Award Winner
 
The Lee County Genealogical Society has established an annual High School Youth Award to encourage students in Grades 11 and 12 in any Lee County Florida public, private, or home schools, to become family historians and begin researching their heritage.

Grace Speas is our 2016 High School Youth Award Winner! Grace prepared an outstanding submission for the award. In addition to a $500.00 check, she was given a one year’s membership in the LCGS.
 
Ken Weaver, LCGS Education Liaison introduced Grace, who is a senior from Fort Myers High School. President Carol Rooksby Weidlich noted that the funds for this award are donated entirely by our membership.
